20th Post Spectacular!

This is my 20th post indeed! So to kick it off, I'm going to tell you the story of how this blog began, and a recap on all the posts up to today! Let's go!

BEGINNINGS- I guess this whole bloig thing started when my family watched Julie and Julia. (Well, I didn't watch it, I played video games.) That movie gave my mom, aunts, and cousins an idea. They would make a blog! (The blog is innactive now, but you can view it. It's called Jenny's Girls.) Their idea gave me an idea, I would start a blog! At first the answer was NO, but with the help of my persuasive powers, I convinced my parental unit to let me use a blog under her profile, which is where this all began.

WELCOME!- This was my first post and to tell the truth, I didn't really know what to write about. (I truly thought I made up the word "smarmy" until I was told it was a real word.) I decided I would introduce myself and talk about what's going on with world news (NEWZ, Im still slapping myself for that.) I recall mentioning my mom's blog in there, and something about whales. I was really just experimenting. Product: not so great.

A NEW POST- Naming my posts obviously was something I needed to work on at this point. I remember this being the last day of school, and there were like a TON of new movies coming out. (I never did see Robin Hood.) But what interested me most was my new ability to add YouTube movies to the mix. I picked one that was cool, just to toy around.

PIE FLAVOR- This is going down as one of my favorite posts. During school, my buds and I had discovered this hilarious internet video, "asdfmovie2" that cracked us up all da time. I remember being so fond of it, I planned to make a clothing line based off of it. It's still hilarious.

MOVIE REVIEW! (SHREK 4)- After seeing Shrek 4, I decided to try my hand at reviewing. I suppose it was good enough, but no one really reads this blog anyway, so I couldn't tell. (A whopping 1 follower!

GAMES ARE FUN (TOP TEN 64)- This post was dedicated to my favorite game system of all time, the nintendo 64. I stayed uo nights upon nights playing that old thing, and I always loved it. The only thing I regret about that post is not including GoldenEye 007.

FEAR OF CLOWNS- This was a matter that distressed me. Why were people so afraid of clowns? Their job is to make you happy? I for one love clowns. (But i'm horribley afraid of jellyfish!)

MOVIE REVIEW: SORCERER'S APPRENTICE- What can I say, reviewing movies is pretty entertaining.

END OF AN ERA (R.I.P. BIONICLE)- BIONICLES were something that had really influenced my childhood, and it made me very sad to see them go. Even though I didn't really buy them anymore, it was comforting to know that the next generation of kids could have them too. That dream was crushed.

FAVORITE DISNEY CHARACTERS- For anyone who thought this post was mediocre, you had no childhood.

UPCOMING IDEA FROM DA CHUCKSTA...- All I really remember about this was being bored and making a cruddy waterpaint concept art of this story I made up as a little kid. I think it was inspiredby a mixture of Zelda and Lord of the Rings.

BOA (BANDS OF AMERICA)- I decided the best way for me to spread the word about my band's success, was through posting. It was only later I remembered no one reallly reads this.

SARAH- When I said no one, I meant no one I didn't mention it to. This girl named Sarah read it and demanded a post dedicated to her. So I did. The End.

A COMPLETELY NEW POST ON COMPLETELY NEW THINGS- This'n was created to catch you up to speed on my life. (Since I hadn't posted for two months.)

And that about covers all of it. There's my whole blog up to today, summaraized in little paragraphs. It makes me feel small...

A Completely New Post on Completely New Things

My greatest apologies for my lack of posting during the last two months. I'm afraid posting just got away from me. Alot has happened since almost Halloween of last year. So I'll catch you up to speed.

HALLOWEEN- On Hallow's Eve this year I unfortunately did not go trick-or-treating this year. My friends and I instead scared and or gave out halloween candy to children. (And the occasional prankster) It was pretty boring to tell the truth. At least it was AT FIRST! Soon, we came up with a demonic idea to give out awful items like mayonaisse and brussel sprouts and Zaxby's Sauce. Of cource after the kids were done being shocked out of their minds at the though of "This wack-job is gonna give me ASPARAGUS on HALLOWEEN?!" we gave them a handful of candy and sent them on their way.

NOVEMBER DISNEY TRIP- We try to go to Disney World every now and then, and so we went this year during November. Like always, Disney was a blast, and for at least two weeks I had Disney Songs stuck in my head.

CHRISTMAS CONCERT- My band, had an awesome Christmas Concert this year that I was in! Great experience for everyone. Then later the next week (before the dreaded mid-terms) was our big christmas assembly. We were supposed to play a song with the beginner 6th grade class, but I lost the score to it, leaving me and the other French Hornists guessing on the notes. (Not a pretty experience.) I gotta be more careful where I put stuff.

COLORADO SNOWBOARDING TRIP- We went skiing in Colorado. Skiing was not my forte, so I picked up snowboarding. Not bad.

And then there was Christmas, and tommorrow is New Years day. And on tuesday, it's back to school. I'm gonna miss Christmas.

Sarah

So, I thought you need to know more about the various members of the band. In specific a prop girl named Sarah who told me to write a post about her. So... Sarah is Ricky's (Our drum major) girlfriend, who at the end of the show runs across the field hoding a large strand of cloth along with others and turns our band ninto a giant postcard. (our show is "Postcards from Alabama) She's also a cheereader at our school cheer squad. So there. Hope yer happy Sarah.
-Chuck

BOA (Bands of America)

For all of you who don't know, 'm in a marching band. The Saint James Marching Trojans to be exact. We just finished a competition at Bands of America super-regionals and got third place in our division! So spread the word! And watch out for us next year!

Favorite Disney Characters

Well, I have to have at least ONE cheesy post per year and I guess this is it. My three favorite disney characters. I mean, we all have a favorite (or two(or three)) but I've decided to post mine. Walt Disney is one of the greatest minds of all time. His work is by far, the best. Second to none. So as far as favorites go, here are my three.

3. Tigger

What's not to love about Tigger? He's eccentric, fun-loving, and all around crazy! I can really relate to Tigger. He can be over the top, too wild, and accidently mess things up in an attempt to make everyone happy. Kinda like me. Or I'M kinda like TIGGER. Who knows?
Refference: Winnie The Pooh
2. Jose Carioca
One of the Three Caballeros and one of the most fluent speaking portuguese parrots I've ever heard of. He's a great friend, has a good heart, (and a little eye for the ladies) and One of Donald Duck's best friends.
Refference: The Three Caballeros and Saludos Amigos
1. Chernabog
It saddens me that not too many people have heard of Chernabog. The greatest Disney baddie of all time. (Next to the MCP.) If you don't know who Chernabog is, look up at the top of the post. See that big demon guy? THAT'S Chenabog! Still not ringing a bell? By show of hands, who here has seen Fantasia? If you haven't... you stink. Just kidding. But seriously. SEE THAT MOVIE! If you have seen it but don't remember, it's the movie where Mickey puts on the nerdy hat and all of the brroms mop. For those of you who HAVE seen Fantasia, Chernabog is the big guy in the volcano where A Night on Bald Mountain is playing. The guy can seriously summon an army of skeletons by casting a shadow! That is awesome! Can you do that? (If you can, send me a video and I will give you the "As Cool as Chernabog" certificate)Anyone who can live in a volcanoe and summon an army by casting a shadow is up there in my book!
Refferences: Fantasia, Mickey's House of Villains
Epilouge.
I'm sorry, those who thought I would say "Donald, Goofy, and Mickey." Those guys do rock. But these guys are the underdogs! The great characters that go by unnoticed! They need appreciation! And that's why I posted this.
The End...

End of an era (R.I.P. BIONICLE)

Hello! Once again it's Chuck here to tell you all about.... stuff. This post however is not a very happy one. It's to mark the end of an era. The end of a LEGO era. Starting in 2001, BIONICLE was the way LEGO branched out into action figures. Growing up in my younger days, I was OBSESSED with BIONICLES. At first, my mom wouldn't let me get BIONICLES because she thought they were "dark" and "scary." But I soon convinced her otherwise and I bought one. I was hooked. The storyline was incredible, the characters were memorable, and everything about it was cool! That was ten years ago. This years sets were BIONICLE STARS consisting of some of the coolest characters. But they would be the last. Yes. In 2010, BIONICLE ended. If you do not believe me, go to this adress.

http://bionicleglatorian.blogspot.com/2009/11/bionicle-is-over.html

Yes, the toy that inspired a decade is over. Possibly LEGO'S greatest achievement is flushed down the drain. Being replaced by a new line of figures called, HERO FACTORY. Who knows, maybe BIONICLE isn't over. Maybe it WILL come back. But not in the forseeable future. So until then. (If it ever comes) cherish a toy that made alot of people happy. A toy that redefined what LEGO was all about. Cherish BIONICLE.

P.S. This is my favorite BIONICLE vid of all time!

Movie Review: Sorceror's Apprentice

Well, It has been a while since my last post, and after seeing this movie, I knew it was REVIEW TIME. All around, the movie delivered a very good story, nice action sequences, and cool special effects. But what made the movie, was the characters. Like NCIS. The show wouldn't be the same without the characters. (That's why I find NCIS LA to be such a failure.) The characters all around could have made a good movie about a bannana rotting. And I especially liked the FANTASIA scene. All in all, a good movie and must see.

Fear of Clowns

Today i've decided to blog about an issue that I find to be very distressing in our world today. A fear of clowns. I just don't get it. Why are people afraid of clowns? It makes absolutely no sense to me. Let's review the facts. Clowns wear makeup. Not scary makeup, just a white face and big red lips, with the eyeliner. They laugh alot. That's kinda weird, not creepy. They have big shoes. So maybe their feet are big. So are mine. They can steal your soul. Just kidding. The only clown I have ever feared is Ronald McDonald. How old is that guy? Seventy? Sixty? Over fifty for sure. He just creeps me out. Mainly because his voice is synced in with his mouth movements. He's just a weirdo.

Games are fun. (Top ten 64)

Today i'm blogging about a game station. The nintendo64. To be clear, in my opinion, this may be one of the greatest game stations of all time. But that's just me. I've decided to give you a top 10 of the greatest games made for this. But you'll never be more excited than this kid.

so start with ten.

10 Pokemon Snap

This is a photography game that is suprisingly fun and addictive, it may be the 4's most original title.

9 Zelda, Majora's Mask

In the second chapter of the ZELDA 64 link finds himself in a race against time. Very frustrating, but a good title.

8 Mario Kart 64

The game that defined mario kart as we know it, very fun with okay graphics

7 Mario Golf

Never brfore have so many people golfed in a red hat and overalls. Very pleasing game.

6 Kirby 64

A fun and easy to pick up game for all players. Great graphics.

5 Excitebike 64

Racing is just as fun on the sixty four as on any other game.

4 StarFox 64

Probobavly the best StarFox title ever, this game delivers great graphics, great sound, and a great storyline. Also the spwaner of the infamous "Do a Barrel Roll!"

3Super Smash Bros.

The first Smash Bros. game, with less characters than nowadays, but still a good day.

2 Super Mario 64

The game that defined the 64, and grandpa of Mario Galaxy.

1 The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Possibly the best game ever, it took three years and 200 people to make. The most critically acclaimed game of all time.

So there you have it, all of the greatest 64 games ever. Oh and here you are...

Movie Review! (Shrek 4)

Well, it seems like the great foursome of movies is over. I remember seeing the first Shrek in theaters and absolutley loving it. I enjoyed the second one as well. As for the third one, it just wasn't that good. I wouldn't advise seeing it unless you want to get the full storyline. I would advise seeing the new one though. Shrek 4 is a very good movie and has a very interesting storyline in which the villain, Rumplestiltskin, teaches Shrek a lesson about life. But I can't tell you what that lesson is because it would ruin some of the movie for you. But I can tell you that Shrek is in an alternate reality, and most of the characters are very different. Which leads to be very humurous. In fact, if I had to give this movie a rating of three and three fourths stars.Which means that if you want to see it, you should. It's definately better that "2" and "3" but not the first. The first was the best because of it's concept, storyline, and hilarious jokes. In all, I would advise seeing this movie if you enjoy the Shrek series.

Pie Flavor

Well, I guess it's time for a new post. In all, I think I'll try blogging every day. But I know I wont succeed. I did enjoy sleeping in this morning, and played some video games, listened to my iPod, blah...blah....blah. But I know you don't care about that. Unless you do. And that's kinda weird. I hope you enjoyed my presentation of Metallic Knights. I thought that was pretty awesome. Today I have a new video for you. This all started at school with my friend Hayden. He cam to school talking about this hillarious youtube video and told me what it was called, asdfmovie2. So anyway I looked it up online and watched it and thought it was pretty funny, so I told more of my friends and now it's kinda like an inside joke. Here it is.

Alright, if you've stopped laughing at it, i'm sure you'd say it is pretty funny. On to world news. If you havent heard (Which would be weird) there was a HUGE oil spill down in the gulf. This thing is huge! So I wouldn't advise going to any sea-food resturaunts in the south. Or in the north for that matter. Than k you for readining my post and if you enjoyed asdfmovie2, you'll LOVE this...

A new Post

Well, it has been a while since my last post on here. I guess with school and all I have found myself too busy. But I digress. Today is the 25th of May and my official last day of school. The reason I put that italicized "Official" there was because my last day of school technically was last Wendsday. But I had four finals to take and that was a bit of a bummer. In better news, I finally have some movies to see! There has been a large shortage of good movies in theaters for a while in my town. But now, good looking movies are popping up everywhere! Robin Hood just came out and I hear it's amazing. On Friday Disney's Prince of Persia comes out, and after playing the games, it looks pretty good. Toy Story 3 is out soon too. And because of my inner six year old, I have to see it! I have also stumbled upon something cool. An animated movie called, Metallic Knights that was made in 2008 on the Dsi's flipnote software, here it is.

Pretty cool huh? If you have a Dsi and a web connection, you can get Flipnote Studio for free!

Welcome!

The first ChuckBlog post of the century! (Hooray!) I guess you expect me to warm up with the whole. "Welcome to the Blog of Chuck. The Blog of Chuck is a free environment where you can listen to the smooth and smarmy, (Oh P.S.! I will sometime make up words! I'm saying this because I don't know if 'smarmy' is a word or not. It sure sounds like it is.) voice of Chuck, the author of this blog." Well no sir-EE! You would probably have left by now. Unless you already have. Then you wouldn't be reading this. But never mind! So on to the posting. Local news isn't good, so i'll just start with Chuck Newz. (Heh heh. NEWZ.) My friend, Kay, also has a blog here called Jenny's Girls. (Oh and by the way, I wasn't payed 10 dollars to say that.;)) I think it has something to do with loosing weight. Not that she's fat. Women just worry to much about that stuff. In World News, SAVE THE WHALES! Apparently a whaling ship collided with a whale conservation ship. (Imagine that!) And truth be told, the owners of the ship have apparently been harassing the whalers to stop it. So it's been a pretty good clash. Ahh, whaling rivalries, sweet, restraining order inducing whaling rivalries.
